    Joseph Shepherdson

    FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

    With a background as a Chartered Ecologist, Joseph Shepherdson (CBiol, MCIEEM, MRSB) has worked as a Producer/Director with the BBC Natural History Unit and the Academy Award-winning Off The Fence, combining ecological expertise with creative storytelling. His work spans feature documentaries, television, and consultancy, focusing on conservation and embedding ecological best practice into film, drama, and festival production.

    Joseph is pioneering a new approach to sustainability in the entertainment industry, helping productions reduce environmental impact while integrating ecological principles into every stage of storytelling. Passionate about practical, creative, and long-term change, he bridges science and culture to ensure conservation is not just discussed, but actively practiced on set and beyond.

  • India Rayner

    HEAD OF NATURE RECOVERY

    India is the Head of Nature Recovery at Ecotainment Ltd. She is a Chartered Natural Capital specialist (C.Env, C.WEM) with over seven years’ experience in the environmental and sustainability sectors. She has a strong foundation in natural capital and nature-based solutions. India’s expertise covers strategic land use planning, working with stakeholders across sectors, and applying national policy to achieve long-term environmental outcomes. India is passionate about making sure resources are used effectively to create real impact.

    Passionate about nature recovery and connecting people with the natural world, India loves turning complex environmental challenges into practical strategies that deliver meaningful, values-driven results.

    ECOLOGIST

    Harry Reed is Ecotainment Ltd’s lead field ecologist, specialising in UK protected species. With over a decade of hands-on field experience, he combines deep ecological knowledge with a talent for turning complex survey data into clear, actionable insights.

    Harry’s expertise spans strategic species monitoring, habitat assessment, and supporting the team in translating ecological findings into practical guidance. Passionate about nature and wildlife, he brings curiosity, energy, and a people-focused approach to every project, helping Ecotainment Ltd deliver meaningful, values-driven outcomes.

    Abi Thomas

    DRONE OPERATOR

    Abi is an experienced Drone Operator whose TV credits include filming for Asia, narrated by Sir David Attenborough. She has flown in some of the world’s most challenging environments, from Arctic sea ice and high-altitude mountain ranges to dense forest canopies and urban structures. Skilled in both cinematic aerials and FPV drone work, Abi brings precision, creativity, and technical expertise to Ecotainment Ltd.

    DRONE OPERATOR

    Sam is an Emmy Award–nominated wildlife and adventure camera operator and certified CAA/FAA drone pilot. His credits span major blue-chip productions for Apple TV+, the BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, and Amazon.

    At Ecotainment, Sam leads on aerial ecology and drone assessments, combining his precision flying skills with a deep understanding of wildlife behaviour and environmental storytelling.

    Clare Jones

    DRONE OPERATOR

    Clare is a CAA-qualified drone pilot and wildlife filmmaker with extensive experience in natural history and conservation projects. She has worked with the BBC Natural History Unit, SKY, National Geographic, and Channel 4, using thermal and drone technology to capture wildlife in challenging environments. At Ecotainment, Clare applies her expertise to deliver high-precision aerial surveys and ecological monitoring, helping reveal wildlife patterns and support habitat recovery projects.

    Scott Abrahams

    DRONE OPERATOR

    Scott is a CAA and FAA qualified drone pilot and wildlife camera operator. He;s working with the BBC, National Geographic, Disney+, Apple TV, and Netflix. Based between Bristol and Scotland, he specialises in aerial filming for ecological surveys, habitat mapping, and wildlife monitoring. Scott’s expertise ensures safe, high-quality drone operations in challenging environments, supporting both conservation and cinematic storytelling.
